St. Lawrence is one of thirteen inpatient addiction treatment centers operated and governed by the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. The facility (which opened in 1967) is located in Ogdensburg, New York. It is OASAS-certified and CARF-accredited, maintains 40 beds (30 male - 10 female), and was established to fulfill needed functions in the alcohol and substance abuse service delivery system in New York's North Country, Lake Champlain and Saratoga Regions, and Capital District. The Center continues to reach-out to the uninsured, underinsured, and working poor who suffer from chemical dependency.
